HALL Rutherford is Craig and Kathryn Hall’s stunning winery amid the legendary Sacrashe vineyard. State-of-the-art vision, timeless artisanship and gracious hospitality are showcased in every luxurious detail.

Completed in March of 2005, this high-tech facility has been carefully designed for the production of small-lot red wine. Custom made three-to-six-ton fermenters afford our winemakers great flexibility and precision handling of vineyard blocks and the ability to micro-manage every aspect of the winemaking process.

In 1873, William Peterson bought 49 acres of land here in St. Helena and planted the grape vines in hopes to create a living as a successful winemaker. In 1885, he constructed a 5000 sq. foot 2-story winery that was designed for gravity- feed winemaking. The property was sold to San Francisco building contractor, Robert Bergfeld, who restored the vineyards and chiseled away Petersons name above the winery entrance and replaced it with his own. 

Today, the hisoric Bergfeld Building remains a landmark in St. Helena and is restored with modern art while preserving many parts of the original building. Overlooking miles of vinyeards and the beautlful HALL property, enjoy tastings of our most exclusive wines and private experiences. 

HALL Wines represents critically acclaimed artisan Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from two Napa Valley tasting rooms and winery locations in both St. Helena and Rutherford. HALL’s highly rated wines include the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, selected as Wine Spectator’s #18 of the ‘Top 100’ in 2010, the 2008 Kathryn Hall Cabernet Sauvignon that earned #2 Wine Spectator “Top 100” Wines, its 2010 Exzellenz earned 100 points by Robert Parker, and its 2013 and 2014 Rainin Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon earned 100 points from Robert Parker and Jeb Dunnuck respectively.
