2010 WALT "Shea Vineyard" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
91 POINTS "Smooth, light and velvety, offering dark berry, cola and a hint of verbena as the finish lingers with refinement and a delicate plushness. Drink now through 2017." -Harvey Steiman, Wine Spectator
The 2010 WALT “Shea Vineyard” Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is Oregon Pinot Noir at its most exquisite. With a late spring, a cool summer and challenging conditions during the harvest season, the Shea team managed to coax every bit of ripe expression from each cluster. The fruit has an energy and personality that is impossible to suppress. Beautiful dusty cherry fruit and crushed rose petal scents soar from the glass. A vibrant palate, laced with plum and spice are lifted by silky tannins and classic Oregon minerality. This wine will effortlessly age for seven year or more though the primary character of the wine is at its peak now.
