2011 WALT "Griffin's Lair" Sonoma County Pinot Noir

Griffin's Lair Vineyard is found on a windy hillside of the Petaluma Gap in the southernmost part of the Sonoma Coast AVA just north of San Pablo Bay. This is a very unique terroir that produces wines with a distinct sauvage character - a delicious earthy, forest floor dimension. We limit our use of new French oak in this wine so that the inriguing personality of the site can wholly resonate.
