2012 WALT "Pinpoint Extreme" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

Each year, Pinpoint Extreme is a reflection of our dedication to being cutting edge in winemaking. We select this wine from our extensive research program to showcase exciting new winemaking techniques that drive our minimalist approach and help to increase vineyard site expression. In 2012, we sourced the fruit for this wine from the Anderson Valley. Our goal was to experiment with a new extraction technique, and then ferment in barrel. The result was a wine that demonstrates the unique characteristics of alternative extraction and the dominant influence of barrel fermentation.
